If you walk into Rosetta Costantino’s Oakland backyard, it looks like she and her parents still live in Verbicaro, a small town in one of Italy’s southern regions, Calabria. Rosetta had a successful career in chemical engineering before returning to her roots and learning the cooking and gardening traditions passed down by her parents, Maria and Vincenzo. Her cookbook, "My Calabria," resonated with many Americans of Calabrian descent who had lost touch with their family’s origins and recipes and she now holds regular cooking classes and yearly culinary tours.

Calabria By Feel is a return to doing things by hand, to sharing knowledge and traditions and a love letter to making food with the people you cherish the most.
